Medicine can always improve. The way we experience healthcare can be better. It can inspire health, hope, and possibility. It can incorporate technology that not only treats disease however, also actively promotes healthier living.

I believe-

✅ Patient experiences can be better.

✅ Trials units can be better.

✅ The way we deliver treatments and investigations can be better.

And so it was my honour to dedicate my time to EIT Oxford, where we are starting with a blank slate—an opportunity to pioneer the next generation of healthcare infrastructure. And within this vast, ambitious vision, I feel deeply honoured to be asked to lead as Medical Director of the EIT Oxford Clinic, a role I've been working hard on for nearly a year.

On January 8th, we gathered at the EIT Campus to mark a defining milestone—the foundations of the EIT Oxford Clinic have been reached. It has:

🏗️ Over 2,000m² of cutting-edge clinical space

🏥 A hub for cancer treatment, disease prevention, and wellness

🔬 Integrated research and care to transform patient outcomes

The clinic will feature new concepts—one that redefines how we deliver medicine.

🖥️ Advanced imaging and clinical infusion rooms

🤝 Partnerships with academia, industry, and healthcare leaders

💡 A model for research-driven, patient-centred care

As I stood on site, looking at the space where this clinic will rise, I felt the weight and significance of this moment. From here, we begin our ascent—transforming ideas into reality, turning blueprints into a facility that will change lives.

Pinch Myself Moments

One of the greatest privileges of this journey is the people I work with. Week after week, I find myself in rooms with brilliant minds—scientists, doctors, innovators—people who are truly shaping the future of medicine.

I spend 2.5 days a week at EIT, and I still have moments where I have to pinch myself to believe the conversations I’m part of. These are people who have changed global healthcare, redefined industries, and broken down barriers—and now, here we are, working togetherto build something new.

This is Just the Beginning

The EIT Oxford Clinic represents a belief that medicine can be faster, smarter, and more focused on the patient. That innovation belongs not in silos, however, in spaces where research and care come together seamlessly.

This is what excites me most.

To stand at the forefront of something bold and new.

To push the boundaries of what’s possible in healthcare.

To inspire health, not just treat illness.

Find out more about what is happening here.

This is medicine’s next chapter. And I’m honoured to be part of writing it with all these incredible people. 🚀
